Catching Up With Jeremy Holmes

February 20, 2010

In case you haven’t noticed, Jeremy Holmes has been holding it down for the past 12 months. With a tech/silky style reminiscent of many of our heroes in Mouse, it’s obvious that Holmes pays special attention to detail and gets things done properly. Take a moment to catch up with his Skateboard Mag Minute, his HYPE! video promo, and most recently, his feature on the Captain & Casey Show. If you’re like me and can barely stomach the Captain & Casey Show, just FFWD to 3:00 and enjoy. It’s likely that you’re going to want to walk right out the door and go skating.

Make Friends With The Color Blue, UK Tour

February 20, 2010
This new skate film from Blueprint Skateboards should be on the top of your videos-to-purchase-and-watch-daily list. Trust us, you will NOT want to just download it from some sketchy forum- this vid features the antics of Broadcast homies Paul Shier and Kevin Coakley, and it’s probably going to be one of the best flicks of the year. If you’re in the UK, this tour poster shows the dates & locations that you can make friends with the color blue. Elsewhere, visit blueprintskateboards.com for dates.

Broadcast 52mm Reverbs

February 20, 2010

These wheels rule. Hamid at Lowcard rules for taking the photo. We are down to our last few sets of 52mm Reverbs, so wake up, grab a Cup-O-Noodles, and skate the best.

Two Good Art Shows, One Night: Pray You’re in L.A.

February 19, 2010
Hopefully you’ll be in the Los Angeles area tomorrow night to catch the eclipse of two really rad art shows. You don’t need to be an art snob to enjoy the work that will be hanging on the walls at New Image Art Gallery for the 2THEWALL group exhibit, and Clint Peterson is certainly gaining a foothold in the art world while still remaining one of the most hard working skaters in the biz. Click the flyer image for details on time and location of these two exhibits.

TEAM WOLF: Introducing Lucas Erlebach & Shea Cooper

February 12, 2010

Broadcast Skateboarding is proud to welcome Boise Idaho rippers Shea Cooper and Lucas Erlebach to the flow family. This is the first of many short films that we will be uploading to highlight the talents of our wolf team and the filmers that do a kill job of documenting the radness. Special thanks to Colin Clark and Prestige Skateboards. The song is Made Believe by Reykjavik, Iceland band Who Knew.

Hellmets: Gareth Stehr and Hippy Killer for Loser Machine

February 12, 2010

Gareth Stehr posted this over on his blog, and I’m definitely digging some of the brain buckets that Loser Machine is offering. Kutty put his special touch on the Hippy Killer Garage helmet, and Gareth has done did it right with the PBR lid.  Source: Loser Machine

Nolan Johnson Skateboard Mag Interview

February 12, 2010

If you haven’t had a chance to check some of Nolan’s semi-recent coverage from The Skateboard Mag, we highly suggest that you do. Nolan now lives in Seattle, and eats copious amounts of candy and soda to stay healthy and strong for the rigors of the skate season. Long after the other shredders fall off the charts due to alcoholism or discouragement, Nolan will still be skating (and doing it how he wants to) and still having fun. The Perfect Circle: Broadcast 53mm Hipster Killers

February 8, 2010

The Hipster Killer 53’s have pretty much been the wheel that has put Broadcast on the map. If you haven’t already tried out a set of these, I highly encourage you to get a pair. But you better hustle, because we have almost sold out of these little blue gems already. (Graphic by French)
