Introducing Kris Foley

September 30, 2010

It is said that the native people of Canada originally invented the game of lacrosse, and it’s even considered the national sport of our Northern associates. Thank goodness Kris Foley decided to break the tradition of his fathers and roll with the gods by becoming a skater… and an incredibly gifted one, too. It seems like all those damn Canadians are born with an innate drive to charge hard. Born. Drive. Charge. Can all those three words fit into a single sentence? Representing Broadcast in the second largest country in the world, we’re proud to introduce Kris Foley.

Antenna Magazine Features Broadcast

September 28, 2010

Last week we dropped our Fall/Winter 2010 Catalog and fortunately the Antenna picked up our Broadcast (get it?). Needless to say, we really like the people involved with this magazine.

Built upon the aphorism MAKE NO MISTAKE, this new product collection is the result of extensive team, designer, and patron feedback. When we created BRDCST, we undertook to be an independent company who relentlessly makes quality its unconditional priority and that is why our wheels and apparel are quickly becoming cult favorites amongst dedicated skateboarders.

Patrick Melcher Rip Clip

September 28, 2010

Back-to-back Melcher posts? Hellz yes. As you already know, Patrick skates everything and anything with a level of speed and control that most dudes just dream of. In his latest Skateboard Mag Rip Clip, you can see why his unorthodox shred method has gathered the attention of so many fans.

Patrick Melcher Endures

September 23, 2010

Master lensman Jeffrey Moustache was in the right place at the right time with the right bloke in order to capture this bloody long wall-assisted boardslide. You like those blue wheels that Melcher skates, don’t you. Stay in school.

Typical Culture just posted their 8th Photo Issue, and we suggest you go check out the rad photos of Broadcasters Jeremy Holmes (photo below by Jack Williams), Connor Getzlaff, and Shane Cox. Needless to say, we are pretty proud of these guys!

Gleaming The Cube

September 6, 2010

Still one of the best skateboard videos ever made. Yes, even better than that one. Gleaming The Cube (Press Kit) by Marius Engh. The film was released in 1989 and was based on a screenplay written by Michael Tolkin that was originally called A Brothers Revenge. Directed by Graeme Clifford, the movie starred Christian Slater, Tony Hawk, Tommy Guerrero, and Max Perlich.

Broadcast Yo Self: Jeremy McNamara (SEPTEMBER CHAMPION)

September 4, 2010

Out of all the submissions we received in August, this video stood out above the rest. Broadcast Yo Self is the monthly feature where we publish the coolest skate video submitted each month. We basically sift through our submissions (to submit, simply send us your YouTube or Vimeo link on this page) and choose one unlucky brute to partake in the awesomeness that will be known throughout cyber eternity as Broadcast YoSelf. It’s certainly not going to make anybody famous, but we all enjoy some skate inspiration. In addition to the dishonor of appearing on, the winning skater each month will likely start getting phone calls from potential department store sponsors and babes in burlap bikinis. Check back in a few to see next month’s winner.
