MR. SHANE COX IN THE SKATEBOARD MAG

January 25, 2011

Guess who’s in the newest issue of The Skateboard Mag! If you guessed David Gonzalez, you’re correct! But besides the cover boy, our own version of a poster child Shane Cox is getting gritty on four wheels. Issue 84. Git it.

The Mercy Seat: Shane Cox, The Skateboard Mag

January 10, 2011

Shane Cox is the subject of a recent Skateboard Mag Photofile as he soars over the asiento de amor with his Stalefish of Love. Photo by Brian Walnum (who is an amazing photographer, by the way.) This is another one of those things we should have posted on the website a long time ago.

Typical Culture Checks In With Shane Cox

June 22, 2010

The dudes at TypicalCulture.com always have something good going on. This week they did an interview with Shane Cox, and it’s definitely blogworthy material.  Oh, and here is a product review they did on our urethane a long time ago that we forgot to post. Photos below by Brian Walnum and Ray Zimmerman. Three thumbs up for Shane!

Nolan Johnson in Thrasher Mag: Ollie North Down South

May 14, 2010

nolan-johnson-thrasherYou all remember the Texas Death Match presented by Cons and Thrasher we posted about a while back? Nolan was terrorizing the place in his usual style, and scored this sweet full page photo in the latest Thrasher Magazine. You think you can do that backside single footed power soar? Think again. Mister Johnson rides a Welcome.

In other news, the Blueprint Skateboards video Make Friends With The Color Blue is one of the most inspiring skate videos of the past few years, so if you get a chance to buy a copy or at least view it, please do.

Broadcast Am Shane Cox Doing It Proper In Portland

March 16, 2010

“Last week I took my first trip up to Portland to visit a lady friend for a few days. Despite it raining most of the trip I was lucky enough to find some time to skate.  I was really stoked to skate Burnside cause I’ve been wanting to go there since I was about 12.  I could only skate maybe half of the park cause the other half was wet and subsequently slippery as shit, but it was awesome just to be there.  The fullpipe shot is at Pier Park.  All of the parks up there are so much more interesting than So-Cal parks and getting to skate giant stuff like that without having to wear pads or a helmet was rad.  I can’t wait to get back up to the city in the spring when it’s a bit more dry and skate some of the awesome street spots I saw.  Gonna have to remember to bring skate shoes next time though… that was 40 bucks I didn’t need to spend.” — Shane Cox
