Rammellzee’s The RAMM:ELL:ZEE at MOCA

June 23, 2011

If you live in Southern California and haven’t made it to the “Art In The Streets” exhibit at Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles, you’re seriously blowing it. Despite some negative criticism that exists about the show, it is a very rare chance to view so many great artists under one roof. Since it’s easy to get your fill on the abundant graffiti revelations within the show, we want to share what we feel was one of the most mind-blowing installations at the exhibit: the Rammellzee room. Check the video here. Thanks to some sort of generous concession from Banksy’s patrons, you can visit the exhibit without an entry fee on Mondays. Free Mondays at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA will be every Monday through August 8th, 2011.

It’s obvious that this rendition was from my sloppy memory… and for some reason I took the liberty of adding braces to his already well-arranged grill. Maybe I had braces at the time? I’m kind of embarrassed at how I drew him and that I don’t even remember who took the photo but I still think it’s kind of cool.” — Kelly D. Williams

Maybe I had braces when I drew this (more…)

February 12, 2010

Gareth Stehr posted this over on his blog, and I’m definitely digging some of the brain buckets that Loser Machine is offering. Kutty put his special touch on the Hippy Killer Garage helmet, and Gareth has done did it right with the PBR lid.  Source: Loser Machine
